Kobi was first diagnosed with Cerebral Palsy Quadriplegia Spasticity at 11 months of age. One baby every fifteen hours is born with Cerebral Palsy. Cerebral Palsy is unfortunately one of the most common disabilities in infants and young children and will stay with them for a lifetime. To date no cure has been found to prevent Cerebral Palsy.

Due to the nature of this type of Cerebral Palsy Kobi’s chances of walking independently were very slim. Recently on Sixty Minutes there was a story of a therapy called “Therasuit Therapy”. This therapy is the only opportunity that Kobi will get to walk independently in her life. “Therasuit” therapy starts at a cost of $6800. Kobi Anne’s therapy is quite extensive and will be constant for an extended period of time, consisting of three hours of treatment five days a week. This therapy will be supported by her family and Chad Timmermans who is a Director and Therapist within the Australian Institute for the Achievement of Human Potential.

Kobi is an inspiration to us all, showing amazing courage during this time and endures all of this with very little complaint and a huge smile.

Our aim is to raise funds to help the Robbs family support Kobi through this therapy and give Kobi the best possible chance to walk independently. Kobi has been successful in obtaining a position in Sydney in November 2014 to complete this therapy.
