The program is designed to demonstrate the links between a cappella music of the High Renaissance and the Impressionists, in tandem with Australian choral music from the early 20th century, with a focus on women composers.

Richard Gill is Australia's most high-profile music educator and this program has been designed to inspire and explore as well as to entertain. By highlighting the connections and the disjunctions across five and a half centuries of music, from 16th-century Europe to modern-day Australia, the concert opens up a fascinating conversation between musical languages; Richard Gill will draw the various strands together and provide insights into our own musical culture.

All ticket holders are invited to attend the pre-concert talk by Richard Gill at 2.15pm.
