Special Charity Screening: Splinters
“Engrossing, endlessly surprising…a great documentary” Filmmaker magazine
Winner of Surfer Magazine’s “2011 Surf Documentary of the Year”
1233 ABC Newcastle is proud to be supporting the Papua New Guinea Surf Donation Project with a special screening of the critically acclaimed feature-length documentary Splinters.
All money from ticket sales will be used to buy new surfboards for Papua New Guinea surf clubs.
We will also be collecting any old surfboards or surf gear you can donate as part of Operation Drop In; a surfboard charity drive by 1233 ABC Newcastle in partnership with the Surfing Association of Papua New Guinea (SAPNG).
Special guest on the night will be SAPNG President Andy Abel who will give a Q&A session on the the amazing waves and culture of Papua New Guinea.
So get your ticket and if you can, bring a board! :)
