Comprised of some of Sydney’s most promising nebulae, Good ‘Evans seeks inspiration and guidance from the stars in the modern jazz galaxy, drawing on the music of the celestial Kurt Rosenwinkel and extragalactic Donny McCaslin to present a set of original music.

You think these jazz nerds don’t know how to shred? In drop D no less? Think again! Featuring all of Tim’s original material, with a cover or 2 thrown in. It will be ball-tearing riffs with ripping guitar hero solos. It’s the way guitarists and drummers dream about playing while labouring over “Girl from Ipamena” at a 6-hour wedding gig.
Featuring 2014 National Jazz Awards champions Carl Morgan & Peter Koopman, these lads have escaped the jazz police handcuffs so far, but it’s only a matter of time.

What is Jazzgroove?

Jazzgroove is a not for profit organisation presenting high-quality original and improvised music from various jazz related cannons. Our focus is on musicians who are in the early stages of forming a national and international career. Jazzgroove's purpose is to nurture upcoming musicians by allowing a platform and performance opportunity to an established audience through our weekly Tuesday double bill events, marketing/ promotion support while also providing a dialogue and mentorship between past Jazzgroove performers and more experienced musicians.
