LOST RAGAS follow up their heavy weight debut 'Phantom Ride', with a new album due for release in May 2015...'Trans Atlantic Highway'.
Lost Ragas is a gang of musicians who've worked with the best in the land, but this is their own thing.
'Marijuana Mornings', the first single from the album, sets the scene. At first nostalgic and bitter sweet, but ultimately, like all great songs it is about something else...something much deeper.
Catch them on tour in Feb as they preview songs from the up coming album.
Praise for Phantom Ride...
Album Of The Week - ABC Radio National
“Lost Ragas, Phantom Ride shows Matt Walker is a force to be
reckoned with” - Steve Moffatt, Daily Telegraph
“Hard sound to pin down- Broken Hearted Alt Country, then it flies off into this amazing duel slide guitar meets lapsteel - almost Television Tom Verlainesq meets Ry Cooder moments all centered around Matt Walkers beautifully dark voice, understated super tight bass and that crazy horse style minimal drumming”. Dashvilled
“An early contender for roots / rock n’ roll album of the year.”
4/5 Sydney Morning Herald
“Catch this guy soon, before he retreats back to the hills” The Monthly
Jep and Dep are Jessica Cassar and Darren Cross (Gerling/Darren Cross Solo) a folk-noir, country twanged duo from Sydney.
Jep and Dep’s sound harks back to the way songs were recorded in the 60’s with a focus on the song and nothing but the song. Their lyrics are tender and soulful with melodies and performances to match. Jessica’s etherial voice mixed with Darren’s gravely tone makes a sound that is distinctly Jep and Dep.
"..with a sound that might cast them serenading in a saloon in a David Lynch film” -Chris Familton (Post To Wire/ The Music)
“..Jep and Dep are a duo that will melt your heart like a mashmellow at a campfire” -Courtney Barnett in NME magazine.
