Originally from Melbourne, Cam McAllister is a trumpet player/composer who has been much in demand in the few years he has been Sydney-based. While he has toured or performed with many outstanding artists across genres, including Alice Cooper, Natalie Imbruglia, Roger Daltrey, Jimmy Barnes, Petula Clark, Peter Frampton,  Jamie Oehlers, Rumberos and the Melbourne Jazz Orchestra - his greatest drive has been creating new works for ensembles.

He has composed and led his own quintet involving some of Australia's premier jazz musicians including: Dave Rex, Mark Fitzgibbon, Tamara Murphy, Ben VanderWal. 

For his Foundry debut as a leader, trumpet player/composer Cam McAllister assembles a big band made up of some of Sydney's finest musicians, presenting a program of original compositions and arrangements which has been his main musical focus in recent times. Cam's music is contemporary but always melodic and accessible.
