(This is an extended version of a presentation Alan will be giving at the 2015 International Conference on Giftedness and Talent Development in Brisbane in March 2015)

This talk will focus on the practice of revealing brilliance in gifted children. Featuring case studies from clients in North America, Belarus, and right here in Australia (across a broad range of cultures), Alan will speak on effectiveness in education and parenting for gifted children, as well as new tools available for allowing bright kids to create something brilliant.

Alan D. Thompson is widely regarded as one of the world's foremost gifted coaches.

He specialises in working with high achievers and is an expert on brilliant performance in the arena of life.

Having spent over a decade as a sound designer to high performing celebrities, Alan was a part of the creative and technical teams behind the largest international events on the planet (Red Bull Air Race, Christmas at the Sydney Opera House, Taipei Dome). He has worked with many high performing young stars, including the Australian Billy Elliot, Nikki Webster, and the cast of Andrew Lloyd Webber's Cats in Asia.

His coaching practice, Life Architect, is based in Perth, Australia, helping clients to come alive by realising their capacity and aligning with their vision for their own lives. He is an Associate Certified Coach with the International Coach Federation, working and training extensively through Singapore, Hong Kong, USA, and China. He is also a gifted children’s coordinator for Australian Mensa.
