The Mescalados

This is an inspiring soul, funk/RnB ensemble that is sure to delight music lovers.

The Mesclados – Kat, Jerry and Rocky… it’s been just over a year now since they came together to delight people’s ears with their lively world beats! Their name derives from Spanish and Portuguese to mean “mixed blood” and that is what they are… they come from all over the world, but united here in Sydney, Australia with a commonality and passion for making music.

Rocky Kahle is originally from New Zealand, and is Indigenous Maori in ancestry.
Rocky is an extremely versitile guitarist, songwriter and accomplished vocalist.

Jerry Rayner is originally from Orlando, Florida, and is African American and Native American ancestry.
Jerry is a seasoned Percussionst, Drummer and Trumpet player.

Katherine Vavahea Rodriguez-Lea is originally from Sydney, Australia, and has Tongan/Fijian, Mexican/Native American, English, African and English. Katherine is female lead vocalist /Songwriter/ Dancer/ and Actress.

Hence....... The Mesclados........ unified through a passion & love of music and a shared rich & diverse cultural and spiritual heritage.

These guys are a real crowd pleasing troupe who are renowned for bringing audiences to their feet and get them shakin' their booty.

As Kat has a wonderfully warm heart, she is welcoming to the stage that night as the support act for The Mesclados; a new comer to the live music scene here in Sydney – welcome Ally Oliver a rising star to the stage this night. Ally is on at 8pm followed by The Mesclados at 8:30pm. Tickets are $15.00 on the door.
