Elodie Sablier & the 33 Degrees Quartet

Tonight, come down to Foundry616 for an exciting double header of inspiring music, from the very promising young Sydney Jazz Quartet 33 Degrees, to the exquisite sound of Pianist Elodie Sablier.

33 Degrees are a young Sydney quartet fresh out of high school. They have been together for 3 years and have created a tight, mellow sound that never fails to bring a smile to audiences. Fronted by singer, Aliza Waxman, whose vocal style is surprisingly mature for her age, 33 Degrees are a welcome addition to the Sydney jazz scene.

"In Australia, Elodie Sablier has found a new music - individual, intimate and frequently exquisite"
is how French Pianist and Composer Elodie Sablier was recently described by the Sydney Morning Herald.

Elodie recently launched her new album, Silent Bridge at Foundry616, bringing together her exquisite piano composition and performance skills, including some of her own compositions accompanied by extracts of movies, many of which have been key sources of inspiration for her album.

Blessed with technique from the best French Conservatoires, and with the influence of several years on the Sydney jazz and alternative music scene, Elodie delivers a touching honesty in her sound that pushes the boundaries of classical music in her own inimitable style.

For this particular occasion, Elodie will be playing some of her compositions accompanied by extracts of movies, many of which have been key sources of inspiration for her album.

Elodie's music is a thing of great beauty, and this performance by these young talented musicians promises to be nothing short of enchanting.
