Melbourne folk auteur Laura Jean heads out on a rare Australian headline tour in April, joined by NZ's Aldous Harding.

It has been a big 12 months for Laura, starting with recording in the UK with famed producer John Parish (PJ Harvey, Perfume Genius) at the beginning of last year. Her hushed, intimate fourth album Laura Jean was released in August, and lodged itself near the top of innumerable end of year best-of lists.

Dreamy single First Love Song made it into US public radio giant NPR's Heavy Rotation list, and was nominated for an Age Music Victoria Award for Best Song (Laura herself was nominated for Best Female Artist). The Monthly ran an in-depth feature, and to top it all off, Laura Jean the album was short-listed for the 2014 Australian Music Prize.

Laura is joined by rising New Zealand songwriter Aldous Harding, fresh from touring Australia with Perfume Genius. As heard on her self-titled debut album of last year, Aldous Harding's combination of haunting melody and disarming charm makes her a perfect tour buddy for Laura Jean.
