You Only Live Twice - With The Nancy Sinatra Lee Hazlewood Experience
The Nancy Sinatra/Lee Hazlewood Experience celebrate the 50th anniversary of the release of You Only Live Twice with their return to the Camelot Lounge for the first time in 2017.
You Only Live Twice, renowned as the first Bond theme song to be released as a stand-alone single, set a new high point for the Bond movie franchise and movie theme tunes.
Now the band, fresh from a mini-tour of Melbourne, will be running riot through this classic as well as all the the solo and duet hits and occasional near-misses of Nancy and Lee – the pop music Beauty and the Beast pairing whose quirky success confounded the critics.
These Boots are Made for Walking, Jackson, Summer Wine, Sugar Town, Lightning’s Girl, Something Stupid, Bang Bang, the trippy Some Velvet Morning – the Nancy Sinatra Lee Hazlewood Experience play them all and are exactly what their name suggests – a glamorous, entertaining re-imagining of the Sixties through the eyes of the iconic and culty Nancy & Lee.
Fronted by renowned stage, film and television actor Zoe Carides as Nancy, Scott Holmes as Lee and even former red Wiggle Murray Cook on bass, the band have already carved out a steady following among the Sydney Inner West audience.
“The quintessential sound of the late 60’s……. but sporting the twenty-first century finesse of a group of seasoned musos”
“Instead of Sydney’s inner west, we might as easily have been in Tootsie’s Orchid Lounge, Nashville or the Bardog Tavern Memphis.”
Lloyd Bradford Syke – Australian Stage
