1966 - It Was A Very Good Year – the song was a huge hit for Frank Sinatra and, a few years later, Lee Hazlewood recorded a somewhat bizarre version on 40, the album that commemorated his fortieth birthday.

Not without irony, this is the theme for our end of year bash at The Camelot Lounge on Friday, December 1.

So if you want to try and blot out, if only for an evening, the massed indignities of 2017 - Trump, the alt-right demonstrations, the same-sex marriage debacle, the Parliamentary dual-citizenship farce, the re-emerging threat of a nuclear war sparked by North Korea or whatever else affronted you during the year - then this is your night to do it.

Or maybe you do have something to celebrate. There’s no better way than to revisit the catalogue of Nancy Sinatra and Lee Hazlewood one of pop’s weirdest pairings who created some of 60s America’s most iconic pop.

Fronted by renowned stage, film and television actor Zoe Carides as Nancy, Scott Holmes as Lee and even former red Wiggle Murray Cook on bass, the band rock and country their way through These Boots are Made for Walking, Jackson, Summer Wine, You Only Live Twice, Sugar Town, Lightning’s Girl, Something Stupid, Bang Bang, Up, Up & Away, the trippy Some Velvet Morning and some more obscure gems from the Nancy & Lee catalogue
