MamaMazing Stand-Up

Mamapalooza* Comedy is back! Come to Django Bar on Thursday 28 May for a stunning all female line up with:

Our MC Lou Pollard is an hilarious comedian who works as a Clown Doctor and speaks on behalf of The Humour Foundation charity. Lou has wowed audiences at the Melbourne International Comedy Festival, Sydney Comedy Festival & Adelaide Fringe as well as supporting Arj Barker & appearing on TV shows including Playschool and the Today Show; Lou is also a regular on 702 ABC radio with Dom Knight (The Chaser).

Christina van Look
Christina serves a rapid fire delivery of crispy, punchy jokes with a perfect cocktail of charm. She has shared the stage from Melbourne to Sydney with local and international comedy greats including Danny Bhoy, Fiona O'Loughlin, Denise Scott and Mikey Robbins.
"One of the funniest women in comedy!" Mikey Robbins.

Amanda Gray
Amanda Gray is a regular on the comedy circuit and has recently been in the popular online comedy series, "The Joke's On Me." Amanda loves being a female comic; she said it is better than being a male comic, something she tried only once. "People don’t expect a woman to say the kind of things I say and get away with it."

Allison Flanagan
Allison Flanagan is an actor, singer/songwriter and comedian who has appeared on Australian TV. She has toured with the all female show 'Wicked Women' featuring Australia's best female comedians. Allison's infectious (she is a nurse) stand up act is now making a splash on the comedy scene.

Dolores Lorette
Dolores is a mamapalooza in motion, who transformed from an earth mother to MILF. Dolores is sharp, blunt and smart, a quick witted delight, with stage presence galore. From a Raw Comedy finalist to BondiFM Radio, she's been described by those in the industry as "too funny."

Frida Deguise
Being Lebanese Muslim in a scarf is not the norm for a stand up comedian, but Frida Deguise has loved stand up comedy her whole life. In 2011 she broke away from her retail business of 10 years and decided to become a stand up comedian. Frida jokes about what most people won't dare to; she is self-deprecating about her appearance, knowing she can get away with it. Frida would like to follow in the foot steps of her idols Chris Rock and Tina Fey.
