Japanese Tissue Transfer onto Ceramic Ware with Cynthia Manietta 21/06/15

Our Introduction to Ceramics and Japanese Tissue transfer gives you the opportunity to work with ceramics and surface treatment. Learn how to gently apply decoration to bisque ware using underglazes and intricately patterned transfers imported from Japan. All the materials you need to create your masterpiece are provided. Your tutor Cynthia Manietta from ‘Tuning Earth Ceramics’ will help you create your personalised masterpiece.

Workshop Includes:

•  Bisque ware

•  Sponges

•  Printed instructions

•  Underglazes

•  Earthenware firing

•  Clear glaze

Materials provided.Participants should bring pens and pencils, a notebook and a pair of scissors.

You will need to return to The Gardens Club at a later date to collect your fired work.

Suitable for adults and children aged 10 and up.Children under 15 must be accompanied by an adult (both must purchase a ticket). This workshop uses scissors. The workshop will be taught at the adult level.
