‘LET IT OUT’’ - Singing Performance Masterclass - for Singers, Singing Students and Singer/Songwriters. Led by Parissa Bouas

Many aspiring singers, singing students and songwriters find them selves at auditions, exams or onstage, without having had enough, if any, performance practice or honest critique.

This workshop aims to address this inadequacy by offering a small group of singers, the opportunity to perform individually, and to receive and workshop the advice given. Parissa has run this workshop every year for HSC Music Camp students from Coffs to Tweed at Southern Cross University.

A small P.A. system will be provided and you are welcome to record/video the workshop. You are encouraged to bring a backing track on a device or to accompany yourself. (Please bring a lyric sheet.)

PARISSA BOUAS – Teaching Artist

Apart from being an excellent performer, songwriter & singer, Parissa Bouashas an innate ability for teaching. Her enthusiasm for her subject is inspiring and her hallmark generosity on stage extends to her workshops. Parissa holds a BA in Contemporary Music and has lectured at Southern Cross University and Northern Rivers Conservatorium. She teaches regularly at music camps across the country with other top singing facilitators: Rachel Hore, Stephen Taberner, Kavisha Mazzella…She has led the Woodford Festival, Fairbridge Festival and the National Folk Festival choirs.

A seasoned international touring and recording artist, Parissa has recorded 6 award winning albums with The Hottentots. Her recent solo CD won Song of the Year, Best Jazz & Best Folk. When not touring, Parissa runs singing workshops, leads Lighthouse Voices choir and maintains a busy private voice studio.
