Ras Roni has been a pioneer in Reggae music here in Australia for many years. A hugely versatile and original singer who is the lead vocalist with The Strides band, many will recognise his as the infamous voice of the Tia Maria advert in the 1980s, while others will recall his first band in Australia, Un Tabu. Since then, he has been in numerous bands in Australia - Montego Bay, Mataquli Band, Reggae Movements and others.

Lykle Gezus has been a MC in hip hop and reggae in The Strides. A prolific live word artist, he 'writes his lyrics as they flow out of his unending creative soul'. He has been performing with Errol R and Caribbean Soul for many years and has released man original tracks throughout the last 10 years.

Blacker C is creative rapper and dancer whose bounty of non-stop lyrics bring a deep roots tone to the music he has released, including on The Strides band latest CD. He has the talent to hold his own in any musical form and the moves to delight audiences.
