Event Details

Batiba Guwiyal is a national initiative to facilitate collaborative efforts in tackling the impacts of child sexual assault on Indigenous individuals, families & communities.

Recognising that there are few opportunities for stakeholders to come together to share experiences, research, approaches and ideas to this specialised area, the Batiba Guwiyal Conference seeks to provide a unique space for service providers, policy makers, researchers, academics and frontline workers to give voice to the effective work that is being undertaken in many Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities, and to stimulate greater motivation to work collaboratively to improve all efforts to ensure children and families affected by child sexual assault have access to the programs and services they need to continue on their road to healing and wellbeing.
