World Day Against The Death Penalty Dinner

Australians Against Capital Punishment; Australian Lawyers for Human Rights and Reprieve Australia warmly invite you to this year’s dinner in commemoration of the 13^th World Day Against the Death Penalty.

This year’s theme is raising awareness around the application of the death penalty for drug-related offences.

This day is recognised globally as a reminder of the inhumanity of the death penalty from sentence to execution.

We are delighted to announce that our guest speakers include:

• Philip Ruddock, former Attorney-General, member for Berowra and long-time Parliamentary campaigner against the death penalty
• Julian P McMahon, experienced member of the Victorian criminal bar who acted for Andrew Chan and Myuran Sukumaran during their long ordeal;
