Details

Dying to Know Day is a national event dedicated to breaking the silence around death, dying, and end-of-life planning. Held each year on August 8, it’s a chance to start meaningful conversations, ask the hard questions, and make informed decisions about the future.

As part of the day’s events, we invite you to:

  • Book a spot on one of two guided cemetery tours (sub tickets) with Karin Orpin, OAM, Secretary of the Knox Historical Society and former Mayor (10.30am or 2.15pm), to explore local history and reflect on life’s big questions. You must book for the talk to be eligible to attend the tour.
Note: Places are limited and bookings are essential. This tour involves walking through a cemetery on uneven terrain. It is not suitable for individuals who use mobility aids or have difficulty walking. If you have any access questions please contact the office.
  • Light lunch provided
  • Attend a free talk by the Eastern Community Legal Centre (ECLC) on estate planning 12.45pm-1.45pm – learn the essentials of wills, powers of attorney, and how to make sure your wishes are known and respected.

Let’s take the fear out of the conversation and replace it with knowledge, care, and connection.
