Tijuana Taxi faithfully evokes the sound of an era, paying tribute to the unique, upbeat, melodic group whose iconic tunes became the backdrop to the 60’s and 70’s.

With hits such as “Spanish Flea”, “Tijuana Taxi”, “The Lonely Bull” and “A Taste of Honey”, this is the tip of the iceberg of the great body of work put out by Herb and his band.

21 classic tunes (they’re short!) are faithfully brought to life by this 8-piece ensemble of Sydney’s finest musicians, rendering the audience prone to tears of joy and smiles of nostalgia.

With a lineup authentically comprised of marimba/percussion, 2 trumpets, trombone, guitar, bass, drums and keyboards, band-leader and bassist Tina Harris, (frequently seen in several of the marvelous ensembles that play at Camelot Lounge, such as Mucho Mambo, Cumbiamuffin and Barrio Soul) takes you on a journey through another time, peppering the evening with anecdotes and humour.

Tijuana Taxi is retro-kitsch at its finest. An entertainment experience not to be missed!
