GOOD HOUNDS + ABIGAIL WIGHTON (DOUBLE BILL)

Born out of a mutual love of catchy indie rock numbers from the 2000s & beyond, GOOD HOUNDS are capturing their own unique style of lo-fi bittersweet pop with folk sensibilities.

Starting as a solo project from singer/ songwriter LACHIE CAMPBELL, needing an outlet for his burgeoning songwriting talents, he found a musical match in steadfast Stones obsessed drummer ELI GALLAGHER.  They have since been crafting honest, dynamic songs exploring introspection, nostalgia & coming of age, with a sound that harks back to bands such as Crowded House, The Shins & Big Thief.

Good Hounds are currently recording their debut EP set to be released at the end of the year & have been playing in & around Sydney since 2022.

ABIGAIL WIGHTON is an indie-folk singer-songwriter based in Sydney, Australia on Wangal land.  She writes & performs heartfelt honest songs about love, loss & the human experience.

Her shows involve soul bearing lyrics, beautiful acoustic guitar playing &  witty interludes that feel like a chat with your best friend.  Abigail has been paving her way in the folk & country singer/ songwriter scene, opening for Fanny Lumsden at her recent Country Halls Sydney show as well as Colin Buchanan at The Beer Shed.  Abigail was also invited to showcase her original songs at the 2024 National Folk Festival.

Abigail released her 2nd EP ‘soon’ in May receiving high praise.  She is grateful for all the support from community radio stations around the country & is incredibly honoured to have been played by Beccy Cole on ABC Country. She toured throughout June & July in 8 towns to mark this occasion.'
