Join the Tasmanian eco Film Fest (a creative initiative of the Tasmanian Conservation Trust inc) for an exclusive screening of Containment (2015), followed by a special Q&A with directors, and Harvard University professors, Peter Galison and Robb Moss.

Part observational essay - filmed in weapons plants, Fukushima and deep underground - and part graphic novel, Containment weaves between the uneasy present and an imaginative troubled far-future to demonstrate the problem of storing nuclear waste: one of the deadliest, most long-lasting substances on the planet. Left over from the Cold War are a hundred million gallons of radioactive sludge, covering vast radioactive lands and lasting for up to 10,000 years. This incredible documentary uses striking imagery and animation to ask practical and philosophical questions about the long-term storage of radioactive waste.
