The birth of the first CLC in NSW began in 1975 with lawyers, volunteers, academics, social workers and community activists holding a forum in Redfern to discuss establishing community legal services. 

CLCNSW’s 40^th Birthday Celebrations are an opportunity to both celebrate and affirm the progress and milestones of CLCs within the legal justice sector and the broader community and acknowledging the commitment and dedication of its staff and volunteers.

This two-day celebration will welcome past and present staff and volunteers from CLCs, community workers, academics, students, government representatives, members of the judiciary and lawyers from private and public sectors.
