Songs for Lungs presents: Summer Songs Concert

A celebration of songs and singing, featuring award winning, local singer/ songwriters, The Hottentots: Carl Cleves and Parissa Bouas.

Based in Byron Bay, but originally from Sydney and Belgium, The Hottentots, weave stories with songs, touching a deep vein of humanity. Carl and Parissa will launch their new CD, ‘Halos ‘round the Moon’ and play a retrospective smattering from their popular early albums.

“Cleves and Bouas’s music is genuinely genre-busting…. crafted out of folk-roots… Bouas’s vocals, which are sweet, rich and soaring … This is one album worth owning simply because there are a number of amazing songs.. This is an original variation on folk and world music.”

**** Sydney Morning Herald, Bruce Elder

The night will also feature Byron's newest choir - Lighthouse Voices, singing a summery mix of Calypso and world music classics.

Upcoming talent performances by: David Roland, Manny Jackson, Jessica Perkins, Mim O’Grady and Rachel Perkins.

Food available from 6.30pm. Show starts 8pm.

Tickets: at the door $15/ $13 conc.
