Details
A constellation of internationally acclaimed musicians on one stage for one night only creating music that you will get to hear just once.
Curated by Jon Rose, who was described by Time Out New York as “"brilliant" during his most recent Stone residency, Jump Up also features Australian jazz master Mike Nock (“ringing iconoclasm pervades all his music… ignites his every encounter.” Downbeat) and bubbles with the brilliance of some of Europe's top improvisers in the form of Berlin-based drummer Tony Buck ("Absolutely riveting" Financial times); Holland's saxophone inferno and electronic wizard - Luc Houtkamp ("with a sense of excitement, surprise and astonishment, and Houtkamp's infectious sense of humor" Jazzflits); the Swiss vocalist and interactive electronics star - Franziska Baumann ("A voice that dances" Anzeiger Bern) and Norwegian virtuoso trombonist Henrik Norstebo ("delicate and abstract sonic storms…an intense, disturbing collage of nuanced noises" All About Jazz).
Also featured is double bass supremo and co-founder of the NOWnow Clayton Thomas ("Clayton Thomas attacks and teases the double bass in the most delightful of ways" Tagesspiegel, Berlin) Sydney's huge new talent on guitar, Julia Reidy ("the mood could flick between humour and drama…from exquisite beauty to belligerent feedback" Sydney Morning Herald).
This formidable line-up will assemble for one night only so don’t miss it! BOOK NOW
