James Greening, Steve Elphick and Harry Sutherland are the special combination of artists and unique trombone, bass and piano instrumentation. They produce beautifully expressive music, dynamic group interplay and breath-taking improvisations. Performing all Australian jazz repertoire, we are thrilled to present these artists in a rarely heard trio setting.
The World According To James
Certainly one of the funniest and funkiest people in the Sydney jazz scene, James Greening brings his toe-tapping quartet to the Foundry 616. The World According to James, formed in 1992, has featured at numerous Festivals both internationally and nationally, including at the Berlin Jazz Festival. Of their three critically acclaimed albums, one was nominated for an ARIA award and another won AIR’s “Best Jazz Album Award” in 2010.
