Swim Season (single launch), Bad Pony (single launch) & Reika

Swim Season and Bad Pony are teaming up on Friday March 18 for a dual headline Melbourne single launch. Being hosted by the Grace Darling Hotel; tickets are $10 presale or $15 on the door.

Forming in June, 2014, Swim Season quickly made a name for themselves playing as many shows as they could squeeze into those early days of their career. It was in the second half of 2015 that all that hard work started to pay off. Following the release of Soldiers, the debut single off their EP, 'Cascades,' the band found themselves front and centre of a number of conversations with industry people around the world.

Swim Season write remarkably mature pop for a band so new to the industry, they focus on sounds that are bright and fun, combining them with lyrics that are as catchy as they are deliberate. With 5 members coming from 5 diverse musical backgrounds, the band are constantly introducing new ideas, allowing them to see past what a specific genre might dictate and into a space that focuses on one outcome; making great music.

Sydney quintet Bad Pony have been teasing Australia for almost a year now, touring up and down the east coast and Tasmania. Now the gang is ready to reveal all with the swift one two punch of new single 'Zombie' off their debut EP 'Limbo.'

The first three singles off 'Limbo' ('White Russian,' 'Down To You' and 'Michael Moore') have drawn praise for their honest lyricism and unique use of percussion. 'Zombie' is set to follow in the footsteps of its siblings with its indie-pop vibe that has more hooks than your local tackle shop. These four singles are but the tip of the iceberg for the whirlwind of moods, styles and energies contained in Bad Pony's Debut EP 'Limbo'.

Supporting these two incredible local live bands will be Melbourne favourites Reika.
