Nautilus -  TEN DOLLAR TUESDAYS @ FOUNDRY616

Tonight, come and enjoy Nautilus, an exciting new project by organist James Williams...

Based in Sydney, the band fuses country styles and themes of Americana with the harmonic and improvisational nature of jazz.

With the use of folk instruments such as violin, viola (Jara Stinson) and acoustic guitar (Noa Kidd), bleeding with the organ traditions that guitarist Tom Wood and Hammond player James Williams have worked on now for three years, the sound of the band creates an accessible music form that stirs up images of heartland America.

The band are strongly influenced by the spacious style of bill frisell as well as Marc Johnsons arranged works on the "sounds of summer running" album.

Nautilus is a fresh reimagining of the lush territory these artists and sounds inhabit. band playing original tunes
