After a successful show at The Newsagency earlier in 2016, The Michael Carpenter Two return to celebrate the release of his "#1 Ranked for 2015 Powerpop album" “The Big Radio”. The album, soft released late last year, has finally received a hard copy release in Australia. For this intimate electric performance, Carpenter is accompanied by his long term guitar slinger, Casey Atkins, and will be showcasing many songs from the new album, plus selections from his long and varied catalogue.

Singer-songwriter. Record Producer. Multi-instrumentalist. It seems like Michael Carpenter has been making records for most of his life. Hundreds of them for other people, but over 20 as the main writer/vocalist in his variety of solo and side projects. One of the power pop world’s most consistent artists since his debut in 1999, he is internationally acclaimed for his jangly pop tunes as well as his alt.country stylings (usually incorporating his band The Cuban Heels).

Opening the show will be the Sydney Indie Pop legend Paul Andrews (ex Lazy Susan) with his new ensemble Family Fold also in duo mode, presenting songs from their album ‘Lustre Glo’.
