Inspired by true events of WWII, the film unites a wounded stranger with a band of children who discover unimaginable strength when a perilous silent mission demands every ounce of their resilience and courage.
AUSTRALIAN PREMIERE
Drama – Adventure – Family
Slovakia, Czech Republic, Serbia | 2025 | 97 min
Secret Delivery is an emotionally gripping winter adventure inspired by a true story from the final months of World War II. Set in the remote, snow-blanketed mountains, the film follows a group of village children who discover a wounded foreign pilot hidden beneath the forest canopy. While the adults around them are paralyzed by fear and oppression, the children choose compassion over caution—and secretly devise a daring plan to smuggle the injured man through a chain of mountain settlements toward safety.
Their journey unfolds like a whispered message carried through the cold: the pilot is quietly passed from hand to hand, home to home, as danger closes in from all sides. Forced to outsmart hostile soldiers, endure treacherous terrain, and navigate the constant threat of betrayal, the children learn the true meaning of solidarity and moral courage. What begins as an illicit adventure becomes a powerful act of resistance.
Driven by atmospheric cinematography and the raw authenticity of its young actors, Secret Delivery weaves suspense and emotion into a gripping portrait of bravery. The film reveals how empathy becomes resistance, and how hope can survive even when the world seems frozen in fear.
