Knox City Council invites you to attend a FREE Professional Development training for Early Years staff in Knox, provided by Noah’s Ark Training. Noah’s Ark Training supports the development of professionals working with families and young children, through training and resources to build better futures for children with disabilities and their families.

Educators are often best placed to observe when a child may need additional supports to enhance their development, but these conversations with parents can be very challenging. These professional development sessions are aimed at supporting staff to consider some of the steps in having a challenging conversation. Through exploring what aspects of a conversations can be challenging and using a strengths-based framework, Educators will feel better equipped to discuss a child’s development with parents and carers.

This online training will take place over two sessions:

Wednesday 30 July – 6.30 – 7.30pm

AND

Wednesday 6 August – 6.30 – 7.30pm

Registration will be for both sessions – a Zoom link will be emailed for each session beforehand.

This free professional development training is available for early years staff, preschool staff and family day care educators working in Knox (including the suburbs of Bayswater, Boronia, Ferntree Gully, Knoxfield, Lysterfield, Rowville, Scoresby, The Basin, Upper Ferntree Gully, Wantirna and Wantirna South).
