After the hugely successful home town launch of their debut album Country Perk, Brisbane's stringed foursome The Floyd Family Breakdown are hitting the road and bringing their toe-tapping old time groove for an intimate show at The Bison Bar with special guest Emma Beau.

The word’s out that the Floyd’s have bottled that ol’ time country feel and given it a flavour all their own. With a sound that’s perched between alt country and old time, the rollicking, rootsy stringed foursome deliver a performance that's no downer with toe-tapping originals, good ol’ old country tunes, a truck load of instruments and hillbilly to boot.

The band's recenlty released debut album "Country Perk" is being well recieved with radio plays and reviews: "It’s an album of rich swinging sounds seeming transplanted from a dancehall of raw pine on the American Frontier. If the Floyd Family takes a lesson from the Great Depression, it’s that a gleeful tune is a cure-all for woes of every kind” - Country Update Magazine.

Warming the stage for the Floyds is the nationally renowned, singer-songwriter, multi-instrumentalist and Gympie local, Emma Beau with her unique blend of contemporary, often experimental folk music. Capturing the attention of some of Australia’s greatest performers, Emma has been riding off the back of a string of successful national tours, performing in the Kasey Chambers Bittersweet Tour, and Jon English’s Six Is Enough Tour, and recently played with Sara Storer and Shane Nicolson.
