Come along to enjoy morning tea in the Royal Canberra Golf Club and hear from ACT Branch committee member Mainul Haque, who will discuss how The Order has acknowledged the service of the multicultural community.
Mainul was awarded the Medal in the Order of Australia in the King's Birthday Honours list 2023 'For service to the multicultural community of Canberra'. and has contributed to our Branch as a committee member since 2024.
Mainul's achievements include:
President, Canberra Muslim Community 2016-2019. Board Member, ACT Council of Social Service, since 2021. Member, ACT Multicultural Advisory Council, ACT Department of Community Services, since 2020
Executive Member, Gungahlin Community Council, 2019-2020. President, Bangladesh Australia Association Canberra, 2005-2007. President, Canberra Islamic School, 2003-2007.
Board Member, Gungahlin College, since 2021.
