One Step at a Time Carers walk - Royal Botanic Gardens Melbourne 

Join us to explore the magnificent gardens in all their lush and vibrant wonder on a walking tour of this heritage listed site. The gardens slope down to the lake with trees, garden beds, lawns and displays almost 50,000 individual plants representing 8,500 different species, displayed in thirty living plant collections. Join us as we gain an appreciation of its historical, architectural, scientific, aesthetic, and social significance. Then relax and enjoy morning tea at The Lakeside cafe 

Connect with other carers in a relaxed, non-judgmental space and enjoy the added benefits of being immersed in nature such as lower stress, improved mental health, and an overall feeling of wellbeing.

Free for unpaid carers

Strictly Carers only, this is your time.

Participants are expected to be able to walk independently for up to 55 minutes on various, challenging terrain.

Sorry no dogs allowed and no transport provided.

We advise participants to wear comfortable walking shoes and suitable attire for all weather conditions, walks will take place in all weather except thunderstorms
