Join us for a very special live VIC Farmer Time session to learn about all things vegetable production!
Throughout this session, students will have the opportunity to explore a day-in-the-life of a vegetable producer and the paddock to plate supply chain. Students will hear first-hand from Victorian farmer, Catherine Velisha, about the physical conditions that impact crop growth on her farm, and some of the problem-solving solutions farmers have created to address challenging weather conditions and their effects on vegetable supply.
Students will have the opportunity to ask Farmer Catherine any questions they may have at the conclusion of the Farmer Time presentation.
Designed for Years 5-6 students, this session aligns with the Victorian Curriculum Design and Technology and Biological Science Content Descriptors.
Registrants for this session will be sent links to two pre-recorded lessons to complete with their class after the Farmer Time video call.
