The Falling Seeds is a collaboration between singer/actor Abi Tucker and guitarist Julian Curwin. A chance meeting in an East Sydney pub resulted in a self-recorded album released in 2015. The music traverses a variety of genres, somewhat in a folk/rock vein, though at times cinematic, exotic and carnivalesque. It has been described as an edgy, compelling soundscape with dark, whimsical short stories.

This will be the band's first show back after Abi's performances at the Malthouse Theatre in Melbourne with Tim Finn's 'Fiery Maze'. Joining the duo will be percussionist Jess Ciampa (Monsieur Camembert, Marsala) who also played on The Falling Seeds debut album.

Andrea Kirwin

Folk, funk and soul with an Island Style roll.

Andrea Kirwin is a singer-songwriter from the Sunshine Coast with Australian Fijian roots. Andrea weaves melodies and storytelling together to create a rich tapestry, much like the way her Fijian grandmother used to weave pandanus mats in the village. Each song is crafted in a way that allows the listener to subtly enter into the space between words and really experience the story, whether it be a love story or about letting go. Her music crosses into various contemporary genres including hip-hop, folk, funk and soul, however it is her smooth laid-back vocal tones that make each song come alive. Her voice has been likened to Tracy Chapman and India Arie.

Andrea is truly an independent Australian Artist having self-produced 2 Albums under her own Record Label, Peace Run Records. Always willing to share her songs and stories, Andrea has performed at music festivals such as The Woodford Folk Festival, The Dreaming, Palm Creek Folk Festival and Womadelaide to name a few. She is one of Australia's hidden gems.
