DO YOU RECRUIT FOR TECHNICAL COMPETENCE  OR  PERSONALITY?

This presention discusses the major aspects of successful recruitment practices and critical elements necessary from a 'best practice' perspective.

But in the real world,  best practice doesn't always give us the best result, particularly when it comes to selecting the right person for the job!

While employers sometimes do not have an issue with their new employee's capacity to do the daily job tasks, why is it that time and again, those new employees end up demonstrating poor attitudes; constantly seem to be at loggerheads with other staff members; or turn out to be just plain 'difficult to work with'.?

Are these problems related to your recruitment practice?  We will put the spotlight on your processes and review where they could potentially be improved.

The workshop material and presentation is designed to be as interactive as possible.  The information presented is relevant to all stakeholders within the workplace but is of particular benefit to staff with responsibility for recruitment and selection as well as the management of under-performing staff.

Participants will increase their knowledge of the following:

  • What a sound recruitment process should consist of (checklist provided)
  • Unconsious Bias
  • How workplace culture affects your recruitment success rate
  • What you can, can't and should ask in an interview
  • What are 'soft skills', why they are increasingly important and how to recruit for them

As well, we identify and explore the legal risks involved with recruitment and how to mitigate them.

Tickets $320.00 per person - If you have a Promo Code, remember to utilise it to receive your discount.
