Slide guitarist and soulful singer/songwriter Tim Hulsman is fresh and memorable. He wields his slide guitar with brutish soul and delicate finesse, sharing his heart-wrenching story with startling openness and naked emotion.

With a hard won, debut position of No.18 on the Australian Blues & Roots Airplay Charts in July 2014, Hulsman’s last release “Dead Man’s Garden” received fountains of praise and loads of airplay, increasing public awareness of his unique but classic feeling, song-writing style.

Late last year Tim was awarded the Inaugural Alex Legg Memorial Foundation Scholarship 2015 -16, for excellence in songwriting, stagecraft and artistic vision.

His latest album "Get Loved" is a melting pot of his favourite music influences distilled into a distinctive sound and style of his own, with complex melodies, emotive lyrics, beautifully dynamic sounds and a unique roots/pop sensibility. It's due for release early in 2017.

Tim is touring now to promote the first single "Monster" from the new album, and is encouraging all concert attendees to think about what brings the monster out in them...and dress to show it! That's right, a night to celebrate our dark side, to speak openly about the human weaknesses and imperfection that make us all so beautifully unique and mysterious.

At The Newsagency on Saturday November 26th with support from the wonderful Cameron James Henderson, a night of humour, honesty, depth and emotion to send you home feeling freer and lighter.
