After 2 years of touring and performing their last album “Wooden Duck”, garage-grass outfit, Green Mohair Suits are back with a brand new album Evans Street. Using an unprecedented approach, the ‘Mohairs’ decided it was time to leave the full band experience and slick production, and reconnect with the bare essentials of the band and make a basic true-to-form acoustic record, no gimmicks required.

The Green Mohair Suits always entertain with their fun and innovative take on country, folk and bluegrass music. Consisting of expressive songwriters Brian Campeau, Richie Cuthbert, Jason Mannell and Ben Romalis, the group takes their four-part harmonising seriously. Their inspired musicianship has seen them compile a collection of quality original tunes that are a mix of heartbreak, humour and humility.

Soaked in the spirit of the old bluesmen but with a lyrical style born of the internet age, Luke Escombe’s music is raw, earthy, funny and funky. Armed with just electric guitar and stomp, he creates a super-charged musical narrative, transforming from storyteller to comedian, teacher to preacher, sinner to saviour.
