There are 1,000’s of grants available to non-profit organisations. With the majority of your workforce being volunteers with limited time to dedicate to applying for grants, how do you decide which ones are best for your organisation and where to invest your precious time?

The first question is, “Are we grant ready?” Many organisations fail in their applications due to lack of preparation, clarity, sustainable outcomes and partners. With most funders having different requirements and application procedures, setting up a framework from which you can be ready to apply for any grant efficiently and effectively is the key.

Topics will include:

  • What are grants and why do organisations give them out
  • What funding is available to your group
  • Selling your organisation and project
  • Defining the project and its benefits
  • The cost of the plan – your budget
  • Defining your organisations stakeholders and partners
  • Sustainability - keeping the project going after the funding finishes
  • Evaluation of the project
  • Giving thanks!

Morning tea will be provided.

This session is available to community groups and not-for-profit organisations.

Assistance, such as an interpreter or hearing loop, is available. Please request assistance when making your booking, if required.

Presented in partnership with the Central Victorian Volunteer Service.
