Event Details
Just like a good feature film, the MyState Student Film Festival has a dramatic climax.
On Wednesday 7 December from 1pm, the Awards Event will unfold at the Theatre Royal in Hobart. There will be tension. There will be glory. There will be shenanigans.
It’s your chance to walk the red carpet and be involved with Tasmania’s biggest film awards ceremony. Shortlisted films will be shown to an eager audience stocked with popcorn. Comedian Tim Logan will run the proceedings, keeping you laughing as the event unfolds.
Best of all, it’s completely free to attend. But you’ll need a ticket, so book your ticket now!
Note from the Festival organisers: With 236 films entered in the 2016 Festival, it's been an epic year. As much as we'd love to screen every film at the Awards Event, we'll only have enough time to show our category finalist films before announcing of the winners. There'll be plenty of previews to show and of course, the films are played in full via the website.
