On the verge of adulthood, Franek, Nastka, Jana and Benek are each trying to find their own way as the close bond that once held them together begins to change.Franek is pulling away from his family, Nastka is searching for love, while Jana tries to keep everyone connected. Meanwhile, the youngest Benek struggles with the rejection of the brother who was once his best friend, and with a mischievous apparition that appears whenever the pressure becomes too much.
Blending family drama, dry humour and a touch of the supernatural, the film explores growing up, changing relationships and the strange ways childhood bonds continue to shape us as adults. Inspired by the director’s own experience of growing up in a large family, it finds humour and tenderness in the uncomfortable moments of family life.
