n Saturday, February 25, 2017, at the Hydro Majestic Hotel at Medlow Bath, we plan to set a new world record for the largest number of costumed people dancing the Charleston! You're invited to be a part of this history-making event, which is one of the feature events for the annual Roaring 20s and all that Jazz Festival.

The town of Bexhill in London took the Guinness World Record in 2015 after a three-year winning streak by the Blue Mountains.  We want that title back (in true Hydro Majestic elegant art deco style, of course) - England might have taken the World Record in 2015 (and won the Ashes), so 2017 is our chance to take it back!

We need 978 dancers to do it. However, we’re aiming for 1,000 to make sure we smash the record. Everyone can dance the Charleston so come along dressed in your 1920s finest and kick up your heels!  With your help we're sure to break the record!  Find the routine at charlestonchallenge.com.au.  If you're planning on coming along, please register online to speed registrations up on the day, and print out your tickets.  Please also bring a gold coin donation to say thank you to the Rural Fire Service.
