VCD Exam Preparation ($45)

The session covers off preparation for the Visual Communication Design exam.  The examination session will cover skills, knowledge and understandings in the areas of technical drawing, rendering, visual analysis, industry practice and design based responses. The presenter will reference previous papers, including the 2015 paper, Examiners’ Reports and his own tips for making the examination time a productive and profitable experience

The exam preparation session is $45.

About the VCD Exam Presenter

Kristen Guthrie is both an experienced teacher of Visual Communication Design and Graphic Designer. She has been closely involved in the development, teaching and evaluation of VCE Visual Communication since its introduction to the VCE curriculum. She has worked in curriculum development and assessment with the VCAA and is passionate about design education. Kristen is the author of the popular textbook, Nelson Visual Communication Design: VCE Units 1 – 4 now in its third edition as well as the accompanying student workbook. She is currently Head of Arts at Woodleigh School on the Mornington Peninsula.

Folio Review Workshop (Free)

11.30am-1.30pmThese sessions are about reviewing folios with a view to tertiary entrance.  Students are invited to bring in their folio and get constructive feedback from ADA's creative educators on presentation, finish, design principles and aesthetic focus.   If folios are unavailable due to VCE Assessment students are asked to either bring copies of their creative work or developmental work which will form the basis of discussion.  The tertiary interview seminar gives students some ideas on what they can expect in an interview for a tertiary place.

Filmmaking & Photography

Graphic & Digital Design 

Interior Design

or Visual Arts.
