REFINING WORKSHOP FOR PERFORMERS

This workshop covers choreography, costuming, promotion, ideas etc. For an intense look at one routine or everything you do.

If you have not yet stepped out on stage and want to get feedback on your ideas and show before you take the leap. Or guidance and help with the process of booking your first gig. Maybe you have started performing and want to learn how to make your business and shows grow into professional profile. Have you got a stage name and routines but not sure on music and costume choices? There is always something as a performer we could use feedback or guidance on. So, why not let Sarina del Fuego talk through some ideas or issues you may have.
Sarina can direct you in how to express character on stage or interact better with your audience. Whether you are an emerging or already professional performer, Sarina can help you tighten and polish your shows and improve on your promotion of your business.

BIO - ABOUT THE TEACHER

Sarina del Fuego aims to bring out the showgirl in everyone. She has taught burlesque since 2004, including regular classes at Sydney dance studios as well as workshops, private lessons and hens parties throughout Australia and the UK.
With well-over a decade of extensive stage experience nationally and internationally, Sarina has produced burlesque events at 34B Oxford Street and The Victoria Room in Sydney; Thornbury Theatre for the Melbourne Fringe Festival; Gluttony for Adelaide Fringe; Cleveland Street Theatre for Sydney Fringe and many more. With her tools of the trade (including feather, veil, and fire fans) she performs at the Opera Bar each New Year’s Eve, and has performed at the Adelaide, Melbourne, Sydney and Edinburgh Fringe Festivals as well as the Australian, London and Sydney Burlesque Festivals. Sarina is the face of the eponymous Zabou Bar in Sydney, has been a judge for London’s Burlesque Idol and is a pioneer of Steampunk burlesque.

In less than a year as a Canberran, Sarina produced the sold-out Noir Revue for The Famous Speigel Garden for the Centenary of Canberra and Lair Of Opulence. She has performed at the Australian National Gallery, Teatro Vivaldi, The Abbey, The Irish Club, Scope Café and for the Multicultural Festival, Enlighten festival, Parties At The Shops and You Are Here.

Sarina has a strong desire to help others reach their goals and their best on and off stage. In her classes you will learn how to walk, move and dance like a burlesque star; how to peel off a glove; how to twirl a boa; how to tease with a simple gesture and how to ooze confidence.
Whether you just want to have some fun and try something different or you’re an emerging performer or already on the stage, Sarina has something to offer. Learn from an international performer with over a decade of experience. Sarina will inspire that burlesque star inside you to finally break out.

“We took Sarina’s refining class and it was wonderful. The lady has great insight and ideas. In a safe and non-judgemental environment Sarina worked with us through our routines and helped improve on what we had. We would highly recommend this to any performer wanting to make their way in burlesque.”
