The Greater Good Foundation Inc proudly presents an evening of Intimate Island Vibes.
Exquisite vocals, powerful lyrics and gorgeous melodies have earned Paula widespread critical praise and an incredibly dedicated fan base. Paula Fuga is a musician on a mission and music is her vehicle.
She is complex, intelligent and real, with the depth and passion to become an icon. If you had to peg Paula Fuga into a certain music genre, it would be almost impossible. Some have called her music modern Hawaiian soul, praising her deep intensity and emotion with a personal style that is widely appealing and accessible.
A blend of tradition and evolution, her music features soul and jazz–infused lyrics, with that laid back island rhythm, seamlessly mixing English and Hawaiian languages, supported by traditional Hawaiian instruments like the nose flute and ‘ukulele, she is all feeling with a voice filled with so much soul, you are guaranteed to become an fan.
Andrea Kirwin is an Australian/Fijian singer-songwriter based on the Sunshine Coast. Andrea weaves melodies together intricately with purpose and passion much like the way her Fijian grandmother used to weave pandanus mats in the village back in her mother's homeland of Fiji.
She has recently started performing as a duo with her sister Litia Kirwin who sings and plays ukulele. The sister harmonies are so close in tone they are simply divine to listen to you and can expect a smooth, soulful, funky and often a spiritually uplifting experience with a very polished sound.
The afternoon will start off with a performance from local talent Jonny Mew with the fantastic Harii Bandu also sharing his gifts of audible pleasure.
The evening includes an information session about Earthships and natural/recycled building with details about adults and kids workshops and how you can get involved, so come and drift into a South Pacific oasis while supporting a great cause.
