Born in October / Matt Thomson
Fresh from the Tamworth Country Music Festival, city boy Matt Thomson (vocals, guitar) and country girl Rachel Webster (vocals, guitar, ukulele and shaker!) comprise newly formed indie/folk duo Born in October. Synergistic and emotive harmonies along with wistful finger picking and splashes of unusual rhthyms will take you on a gentle carpet ride over mountain streams... After meeting at a songwriter night in Sydney in 2013 and at the wise suggestion of a much loved artist and mentor, Matt and Rachel began writing songs together, forging an instant musical connection. Matt will also share some of his latest solo gems joined by brothers Josh (visiting from the UK) and Ben in a rare appearance of all three Thomson brothers. https://soundcloud.com/matt-
Joshua Heath
You never know which guitar or set of wonderful pedal combinations singer songwriter Joshua Heath will wield next with his blend of honest, heartfelt and stories in song. With touches of Nick Cave and Leonard Cohen and a presence that seeps into your soul, each song will take you on a journey you won't want to end.
