Here's a blurb about this unmissable show:
Sparks will fly at Qirkz on July 5! Grand Pricks, fresh off their latest single, bring explosive country boogie to Hunter Valley. Fronted by local songsmith Lachlan Morris (Lachlan X. Morris, Ben Leece & LOTD, William John Jr) Grand Pricks is your new favourite truck stop for tongue-in-cheek, full throttle whiplash music. The ever-reliable alchemy between Morris and drummer/producer wunderkind Fraser Marshall is front n centre, joined by the OG wildcard bass wrangler Ben Pittman… And introducing, the nitro-fuelled electric guitar stylings of Alex Ireland!
Joined by the legendary Bob Corbett & The Roo Grass Band and soul-stirring Justin Ngariki, expect a rip-roaring night.
Wherever Bob and the “Roograssers” perform, an infectious joy engages audiences with heartfelt songs, toe-tapping tunes, spontaneous antics, a boot full of instruments, and a musical journey that travels from the towns and cities of Australia to the U.S. Appalachians, all the way to the Scottish Highlands. Bob’s onstage presence and award winning songs are supported by Sue Carson’s warm fiddle and operatic vocal abilities, two times Australian Flat-Picking Guitar champion Robbie Long, and Dave Carter’s consummate, if not comic instrument juggling, from bass to banjo to bagpipes.
