Details
You may have been to a "Comedy in the Pub", or a Trivia Night, this event - although not in a pub - aims to recreate the same sort of relaxed atmosphere.
This event will provide an opportunity for those interested in Women's activism and reclaiming (in)visible women in both a context of the NSW History curriculum, and the Federation History to learn more of the past. It will provide a 'social' forum to interact with an expert panel of experienced historians and history teachers, and to network with likeminded colleagues.
The event will run from 5 - 7 pm (although the bar will be open from 4.30- 7.30) and will be held on level one at Teachers Federation House, where light refreshments and finger food will be available in a 'pub style' setting with tables of eight.
Tickets are available to buy individually at $25 person or a table of eight at $200. Each ticket will include a snack box. Individual ticket holders should choose their box selection when booking. Group bookings will receive a mixed box of snacks for the table for 8 people.
The event is being run for members of the NSW Teachers Federation. In purchasing tickets you will be asked to confirm this for yourself, and the other members of your group if a group booking. If you have an enquiry in regard to this or other aspects of the event, please ring CPL on 92172342.
If you are interested in this event you may also be interested in attending Women in History: Reclaiming (In)Visible Women, a professional learning course exclusively for Federation members.
The panel will be made up of:

Judy has an abiding interest in all aspects of Ancient, Mediaeval and Modern History as well as archaeology, politics and film. In 2014 and 2019 she attended the Cambridge University History Summer School for international students and hopes to return in 2025.
In June 2024 Judy was awarded Medal of the Order of Australia (OAM) in the General Division for services to Secondary education.
