This is not a slam.

Art is not a competition.

Welcome to our monthly poetry night which celebrates and appreciates word-based artists from all walks.

We have writers and spoken word poets.

We have soliloquists and acapella singers.

We have page poets and theatrical performers.

Each month we have a different host/MC/feature performer.

This evening will be hosted by the fantastic Emma Rose Smith aka IV Syndrome who will be doing a feature set of her spoken word poetry.

In order to perform you must arrive early at 6:30pm and put your name on the open mic list.

Kick off is at 7pm.

This is an intimate concept night with only 50 attendees max.

Each performer has 10 minutes to fill - no less and no more.

We ask that each performer who gets up strives to expand their art-form, whether that means memorising your piece, looking the audience in the eye, wearing your costume, using your body to accentuate your piece, taking time to re-edit your work before you jump up etc.

This is a space to test your concepts in an intimate, inclusive and encouraging environment.
