Family business workshop

Running a family business comes with a unique set of opportunities and challenges. Hosted by the Small Business Development Corporation (SBDC), this workshop includes a presentation by Family Business Australia (FBA) - the peak body for family business. 

The FBA focuses on providing access to specialist services and generating opportunities for families in business to learn and grow by networking and sharing with their peers.

This FREE workshop is for small businesses that are currently owned and operated by a family (or families), or those who plan to become a family business.

The workshop will cover 

• understanding the key elements of a successful family business
• what to consider when working with family members
• how a family business is different to other business models
• the advantages of being a family business
• structures and processes to ensure your business remains professional

Business advisers from the SBDC and the FBA will be available to answer questions about the support offered by each organisation.
